Happy fucking New Year!

Is this the end of the End of the World?!

OK, everybody, relax! You’ll get more “It’s the End of the World As We Know It and I Feel Fine” soon.  I know it’s been a while since the last episode, and believe me, there’s nothing I love more than doing the fucking show. However – the show don’t pay the bills! Yes, it is a labour of love (or maybe masochism). As it turns out, there’s a huge demand for the most cynical news show in the history of the world. So I say, give the people what they want!

For 2009, I’ve committed to four (4) segments independent of any donations or windfalls that come our way. But that number could grow! Every donation, every DVD, and every T-shirt ordered from subMedia goes toward more End of the World segments. Any time  I scrape up $500, I can take the time off from paid gruntwork to produce another exciting episode of the fucking show. That’s it – there’s no sponsors, no corporations, no commercials, no staff, none of that shit.

Riots in Oakland in response to police slaying of Oscar Grant

Greetings guerrillas, workers, and wage slaves. What’s up, fellow rebels, insurgents, and revolutionaries. Hello to you filthy bourgeoisie as well. Shit is heating up surrounding the police murder of Oscar Grant at a BART station in O-town. A demonstration against police terrorism, inspired by recent events in Greece, got rowdy and fucked shit up. As hundreds took to the streets, cars have had their windows smashed in and have been set on fire, and at least one corporation, McDonald’s, was targeted and had its windows smashed in. Riot police have responded with massive presence and chemical weapons such as pepper spray and tear gas. While police claimed they had arrested on 14 people, news choppers caught at least one mass arrest on camera, consisting of around 40-50 arrests.
