The motherfucking resistance (as the Stimulator would say) has been out in force this week in the streets of London, in opposition to the G20 (Group of 8 plus 12 dependent nations) summit taking place in their city.

A large collection of coverage can be found on my GNN blog. Also not to be missed is GNN’s Sam Urquhart’s excellent first-hand account.

Here are some other highlights:

G-20 protesters break into Royal Bank of Scotland: At least 4,000 anarchists, anti-capitalists, environmentalists and others jammed into London’s financial district for what they called “Financial Fool’s Day.” The protests were called ahead of Thursday’s summit of world leaders, who hope to take concrete steps to resolve the global financial crisis that has lashed nations and workers worldwide.

Five Held Over Suspected Plot to Disrupt G20 Summit with Explosives Stunt: Five people have been arrested in connection with a suspected plot to use amateur explosives to disrupt the G20 summit.

Make Economy History: A leaflet distributed at the March 28th ‘Put People First’ march in London. The leaflet argues against reformist demands as a response to the crisis and in favor of a radical transformation of social relations.

Pics: Militant Workers Bloc at G20 Demo: A few pics from the Militant Workers Bloc at the G20 ‘Put People First’ demonstration of Saturday, March 28, 2009.

G20: We Predict a Riot: Meet the Anarchists Plotting to Overthrow Capitalism: As the world’s grandees jet into London for the G20 summit, they’ll be confronted by a mob of incensed anti-capitalists intent on revolution. But since anarchists live by chaos, will they be organized enough to change the world?

G20 Marches Begin Week of Protests in Europe: Tens of thousands of people marched in capital cities across Europe on Saturday to protest about the economic crisis and urge world leaders to act on poverty, jobs and climate change at a G20 summit.

European protesters march in G20 rallies: Thousands take to the streets across Europe in protest against reestablishing the status quo, events also are planned for the U.S.
