Kleptocracy and Immigration

palestinianmourners-420x0The Guardian is pointing to Japan’s new economic recovery signs like it’s the coming of the Messiah. Not to be outdone, Kin Jong is planning to reopen his country’s border with South Korea. It all goes quite nicely with Obama’s sight on world economic recovery on the horizon. And, a Saudi man bought a solid gold penis enlarger. But recovery for who(m – tsk tsk Real News), ask a few of my unemployed friends:

It’s been an exuberant week of getting my PR card in my hand, looking and it and tucking it away in case someone challenges me and says that this is just a dream. I’ve also decided to respond to the “Where are you from question” with an able “Nowhere: I’m a nomad,” rather than going through the seven cycles of birth, upbringing and ancestry. If only those wankers in the UAE had given me citizenship, that question would be much easier to answer.

I plan to celebrate permanent residence by very ably hindering government beauracracy and BS as much as possible – it’s the least I can do. After all, it might very well become a crime in the UK soon enough – that country wants to set up a probationary system for new immigrants that rewards them for integration and assimilation. And as you know, assimilation is just one point away from annihilation. The French are making their racism far more personal and stranger by banning burquinis worn by conservative Muslim women who want to swim in public.

In all this xenophobia we can’t forget America – Democracy Now is exposing the role of a secret club called The Family that’s got strong links to American politics. The same sort of politics that invaded a country as an exercise in privatization and colonization. As Iraq gets sucked into an increasingly third world, homosexuality is now a target for fundamental clerics in the country – another thing that didn’t occur quite as much under Saddam.

As for success on the eastern front, we can expect nothing but the opposite when informed intelligent people in Afghanistan are boldly saying that they’d rather vote for the Taliban than Karzai. In the meanwhile, NATO is scratiching its head on how a suicide bomber infiltrated its HQ in Kabul – no one dares mention the phrase “Tet Offensive.”

In Palestine, Fatah overlords have been re-elected under the auspices of the great collborator, Dahlan. It all goes down from there. Israel is celebrating by widening its apartheid practices to schools and starting sweatshops in Jordan to match those they already have in the West Bank. Nothing like fear of bombs to make people work for pennies an hour. All this at a time when Hamas is actually helping its perception in the international community for once by fighting off Al Qaeda cells in Gaza. Israel will no doubt respond by helping the latter set up, just as it helped Hamas set up as the opposition to Fatah.

Maybe its the universe butterflying for the Berbers, whose culture is being stamped out by the majority Arab populations in Morocco and Algeria. The very Berbers that helped the Arabs conquer Portugal and Spain back in the day.

We’re talking about finding new habitable planets to immigrate to, and can’t even go for Hajj because of the swine flu.

And a happy Independence Day to those that celebrate it. I hear the celebrations are ongoing.
